SurvivalFest Event Announced

SurvivalFest is a newly created event scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2015.  SurvivalFest is Presented & Hosted by Amarillo Town Club (4514 Cornell Street) Get a jump on your training for 24 Hours in the Canyon by attending this amazing 10 hour indoor cycling event.  This certainly ain’t your mama’s spin class!  We’ve assembled an All-Star cast of instructors who will be leading the charge during SurvivalFest.  They’re committed to making sure you have a great time & a great workout.  Proceeds from SurvivalFest will be donated to help further fund the cancer survivorship clinic that we started in 2013.

Rob Leathers — 9:00am – 11:00am

  • Race Across America Qualifier, 24 Hours in the Canyon 24 Hour Geared MTB Record Holder, 2013 Tx UltraCup Champion, 2013 Tejas 500 mile runner-Up, Ironman finisher, & 6 time marathon finisher.  Rob is known for his abiity to push others to achieve great resuts.

Suzi McKee — 11:00am – 1:00pm

  • Suzi is a wellness expert and a personal trainer with 24 years in the fitness and dance industries.  Suzi holds 16 different fitness certifications and has the unique ability to create fun and exciting ways to exercise. She has a passion for working with women and helping them find an exercise type that they love and can do well.

Trisha Davis — 1:00pm – 3:00pm

  • Trisha has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years.  She has competed in marathons, triathlons and “retired” after competing in the Ironman Championships in Kona Hawaii.  She manages to stay in the triathlon world by coaching athletes to the finish line while fulfilling her newest challenge of obstacle course racing.  Regardless of your fitness level, Trisha will make you sweat & feel successful.

Melodie Weis — 3:00pm – 5:00pm

  • Melodie has been a certified Johhnie G. Certified Spinning instructor for 13 years.  She co-founded Du Good Events, a non-profit that provides monetary assistance to families affected by cancer in her hometown of Ulysses, KS.  Melodie is a Personal Trainer from the renowned Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas.  Melodie pushes her class members to achieve their goals & beyond!

Mel Morris — 5:00pm – 7:00pm

  • Certified Group Cycle Instructor, Certified Insanity Instructor, Ultra Distance Cycling Record Holder, 24 Hours in the Canyon 24 Hour Road Record Holder — Having lost 70 lbs with the help of an indoor cycling class, Mel brings a contagious passion to his classes of pushing thru roadblocks and achieveing those abandoned dreams.


  1. Register to use one of the spin bikes provided – You’ll choose your bike upon arrival
  2. Register to bring your own bike and trainer
  3. Register to be a Ghostrider – We’ll mail you an event t-shirt

You DO NOT have to be a member of Amarillo Town Club to participate in Survivalfest.
